Road to a Grecian turn?

Re: Road to a Grecian turn?
While the U.K., U.S. and Germany held their established positions as the top three export markets for Champagne over the years from 2008 to 2012, Japan climbed to fourth from sixth in the table as sales rose 9 percent over the period, according to CIVC
Other markets making up the top 10 export destinations for Champagne in 2012, the latest year for which full data is available, were Belgium in fifth place and Italy in sixth, followed by Australia, Switzerland, Spain and Sweden.
Taken from Bloomberg business, Can't see Greece in there.. mmmmmh

Re: Road to a Grecian turn?
The article is a bit ambiguous because of the title but it does state export markets and elsewhere in fact it states that "Sales in the U.K., the biggest export market, slipped to 32.4 million bottles in 2012 from 36 million in 2008," so it is clearly not talking about growth but Sales Volume.

Exactly, the link I posted was about growth and the Greek market for champagne grew the most even if the market is relatively small.

Is the announcement of a referendum on the terms of the Eurozone, Imf terms a clever move or just a way of delaying the inevitable.
A yes vote would lead to a general election with a new government the current left wingers will go bac into opposition retaining their so called integrity.
As they have since the start of the crisis the only loosers will be the Greek people.

Greek banks have started limiting cash withdrawals to ....wait for it..... €3,000 per account.
This doesn't seem to make any sense or am I missing something here?

3K withdrawals.... So another 1.5 billion needed on Monday.
Getting to be a nail biter now, Wednesday to be the F.O. day
No referendum needed? F.O. from who?

I heard that Tipsy and Fakeit annouced the move at 1 oclock in the morning after drinking most of a crate of champagne but I am not sure this is true

Well, the upside is that when the Drachma hits an all-time low of about 5 million to the Euro, I'm gonna buy about a trillion of them.

There is a fatuous and mawkish article by John Humphreys in the Sunday Times today.
Quite an interesting one by Iain Martin in the Telegraph. Who suggests that perhaps Tsipras always wanted to leave the Euro, but needed to first demonstrate to the electorate how intransigent the EU actually is.
