is it possible visiting UK with a Shengen visa?
hi there,
I am a student in Economics at the University of Social Sciences in Toulouse, France. I am an Indian national and have a long term renewable French via for a year with transit Schengen. I know that UK is not part of this agreement.
What administrative procedures I need follow if I plan on visiting the UK as a tourist during my holidays?? Do I need a visa or some 'special permission' for that?
Any advice will be strongly appreciated !!
Thank you.

Yes you need to apply for a UK visitors visa at your nearest British
Consulate. Your having a Schengen visa does not make it any easier to
visit the UK I'm afraid. So you'll need proof of hotel reservation,
return flight tickets, enough money in the bank to support yourself while
in the UK etc. Then fill in a form, give some money to the consulate and
wait. The form is on the internet at
http://www.fco.gov.uk/ (search for
the visas section)

Yes, you'll need to apply for a visa at the British Embassy/Consulate. For
more info this could be very helpful:

luck.
