Please, look at this noisy campaign unleashed in the Polish press just after Chirac’s “revelations� made during his talks with Putin. Quite evident are the attempts of some Polish media to represent the matter as another proof of inconsistency of the EU’s policy and lack of unity in its ranks. Strikingly, but Poles, who are only the aspirants for full EU membership, are already trying to introduce the rules of their own. Now it is clear that it was a harsh decision, rather politically motivated, to allow Poland to be included into the list of possible aspirants. Anyway, Polish “special� opinion will hardly be taken into serious consideration by EU members . As usual, dancing at someone’s tune, the Poles risk missing the chance of living in economically and politically safe environment.
