hi, I am moving to barcelona some time early next year and am planning on finding a job there as soon as possible. I know that as a EU citizen i have the right to work, but I was wondering what kind of documents are needed (national insurance number) ? Also does anybody know of any towns that are near barcelona (say 1/2 an hour dist.) as property in the city seems to be expensive. Thank you

You are a bit vague on the job details, but whoever you work for should sort out your paperwork within the contract. I think health cover is similar to England, so many payments before you are eligable for free cover.
You will need to get an NIE number from the local Police Station if you want to buy a car etc.
Dont know about Barcalona area, but like you say it will be cheaper to rent outside of city.
