Default Student Loans Repayment Overseas

Hi everyone,

I recently moved abroad and heard that if you don't notify the Student Loans Company you could end up with high fines later on down the line.

I work abroad and earn £18k annually, but only receive £800 after tax as the tax is very high here. SLC don't seem to care and have demanded I pay £100 a month based on my location threshold, but after rent (£400), health insurance (£50) and bills (£100), I'm left with hardly anything!

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and any advice in this situation? They have said if I don't respond by March they will fine me £250, which again I cannot afford!
