Default Moving with young kids - how to ship extras

Emigrating to sweden with very young kids, but will have a container in storage for probably 2-3 months; how would you ship other stuff out for more immediate 'use' that wouldn't fit in suitcases? Am thinking about maybe a car-boot-load of stuff (including child car seats).
Thanks!

We moved to Romania with a 14mth old, but to be honest we looked at the cost of shipping out stuff like cot and toys and decided it would be just as well to buy things out here. As for the essentials like pram, carseat and baby backpack thing, we took them on the plane at no extra cost as I think most airlines (even Ryanair?!) have to take infant equipment in the hold. Hope that helps slightly

You can ask your Removal Company to give you a quote for sending the urgent items as Air Frieght in advance of the rest of your belongings. Most international moving companies offer this service in addition to shipping / road removals.

You could compare this cost with excess baggage on your flight, but I am not sure i'd want to carry all that through a busy airport with the young kids in tow -i'm sure you've got more important things to concentrate on!

Good luck with the move!
