Default moving to switzerland

Hi All

I know this is probably not the right board for this question but i cant find any answers to my question after extensive search on the internet. So I am giving it a shot here. Does anyone know how one can migrate to switzerland. Are there any sites where I can find info on this.

Thanks & appreciate any help

Cheers

It would be helpful to know which nationality you are and where you are presently living...

Hi - this isn't a reply to the question, but I also posted a question about moving to Switzerland and am looking for help. My husband and I are british and he has been offered a job there (Lausanne). If anyone has any information about how I would go about moving there and getting work - I would appreciate it!

My French is OK, but I would need to take an intensive language course to get up to speed.

Hi Helen
I live just outside Geneva, just over the French border. However, we did live in Geneva for a year. If your husband has been offered a job then the company should be applying for B permits for you both, although yours may not entitle you to work. You will have to find an employer who would help you, though this would be easier with your B permit. If you are EU citizens then because of the free movement of EU citizens act between Switzerland and the EU as from June, EU citizens particularly from the UK Spain, France and Germany will not require a permit to work in Switzerland. There is a good book you could look at called Living in Switzerland, also a web site called www.cityexpat.ch Hope this helps and good luck.
