Moving to Munich - HELP!!!
I am moving to Munich with my husband and daughter and we're looking for accomodation in/near the city centre.
Does anyone know anywhere? We'd prefer a house but would live in an apartment on the ground floor if it had a garden! (Just thinking of our daughter!)

hopefully this does not step on anyones toes here at BritishExpats.com, certainly not my intention... but I was referred to this post by a friend.
A good place for help on Munich is Expats in Bavaria they should be able to help you to find an apartment and give you a bit more info on the city and surroundings.

Lived there a few years back - houses are difficult and expensive - go the apartment route. Look south of the city, Harlaching, Grunwald - expensive but with large expat community. West is also good area, Gauting,Grafelfing.

Hi,
I am actually coming from Munich, and I just can tell you that it is very difficult to only find a flat there. Of course it depends a lot on the money you have left to spend for paying the rent. In the more expensive areas there is always a chance to find a house or a flat, but it costs a lot, like in Grünwald for example you have to expect to pay 400-500 pounds for 40 sqare meters. I can just suggest you to start searching early enough, and best luck to you and your family for finding a suiting place
