Re: Its springing
At 18 to 20 Euro for a great bash entry is reasonable but your trip sounds great value. Its like Formula 1 in the mountains.celebs, choppers in and out. The valley you were in is spectacular but doesn't really start until after the jump area.
Guess you did not go into Kranjska-gora or did you go for breakfast there ?
I have no idea who did what and it usually is the team event on the Sunday. I guess the world record was not smashed but it is an awesome spectacle for those of us who potter down the mountains with the odd small jump. Its a funny sport also with style marks; unsure if my flares would get any but
pleased you had a good time. Where you the only Brit and hopefully you sang some English stuff. Do they get up from the seats even on a coach to toast every drinking song??
All pleasant madness and now I wish I had made more effort to go.

yeah I think I was the lone brit but stuck with the slovene songs i've learned, the ti ti rosica is very popular, passed kranjska gora and was amazed at how small the town is, saw the choppers but no celebs, If anyone hasn't been yet I strongly recomend to give it a go its a great day out.
Michael have you kept the flares for fancy dress or do you miss the seventies?
billy (still tired)

My wife says if I can get back into my 1970s New Man denim suit - bought on the Kings Road - which is still in the laundry basket) - the bottom of which must hold other treasures or relics as your want, she will buy me a new sports car !
I still have my white suit with flares (we used to say straight trousers would never make a comeback!) .
Anyway KG , it has a Hit Casino, plenty of restaurants, few bars but is expensive compared with other parts of the country but interesting you thought it might be bigger. The celebs tend to be the team bosses and the flyers but what I like is that they party in the local bars after and the world champ ski flyer was happy to drink with us and sign autographs etc. Its more spontaneous, easy going than some other other sports. SLO won the team event I understand.
They used to judge the 'success' of the event if no Fins, Swedes or Danes died of alcohol poisoning. So think yourself luck you are only tired.
Best regards, M
