IGCSE exams outside UK
Hello
We have just moved to Norway from malaysia where our children were in a british system school. On arrival in Norway we were told that our eldest child would be able to take IGCSE's but after being here for 2 months, the school retracted this guarantee, to concentrate fully on the IB system.
We would like our eldest child (14) to take GSCE's at 16 even if it is in parallel with the IB but we are finding it very difficult to know how to arrange this. We have tried to find a centre in Oslo to no avail, and the school in Stavanger does them but will not let our child undertake the exams there.
We wondered if there was anyone out there who can help in anyway or offer solutions. We are willing to travel to wherever to ensure she can take these exams.
many thanks for any help

Re: IGCSE exams outside UK
Many UK institutions offer them remotely, just search 'GCSEs online' and see the hundreds that come up on google.
May I ask why though, if the IB is easily available? Are you aware that the IB has a higher status, even in the UK, than GCSEs? More and more top schools in the UK are now offering the IB instead because of this.
