I need help on tranferring fees

My boyfriend is in a another part of the country but he resides in the UK, and he wants to get the money transferred to the US where I reside just to hold his money, until he gets back to the UK, my question is will he be charged taxes from the UK government and the IRS in the US, and if so what can we do to make sure he doesn't get charged by the IRS in the US, and how can he not be charged again when he wants his money back in the UK.

I hope this all makes sense, I would love to have anyone's advice so that we don't be charged by uncle sam twice in both places, or have high fees of any sort.
