Health coverage for me and my non-EU spouse in Austria
Hi guys,
I'm British and I have been living in Malaysia for 4 years. I'm married to a Malaysian and we plan to move to Austria next month. How does the health coverage work? I know that because I have not been living in the UK I cannot get an EHIC straight away, so would I need private medical cover at the beginning? Or will I get local cover as soon as we have registered as residents and start paying tax?
