Have I Been Scammed?

These days I find most footwear I buy is very shoddy and quickly falls to pieces. I have never bought shoes online but thought I would give it a try. I used to be size 10 but now I need an 11 and a lot of places don't stock much of that size here in Croatia (EU size 46). I looked at loads of websites but most didn't have anything of suitable style, price or size. There seem to be multiple sites that offer exactly the same products, so it takes time to slog through them all. I finally found what I wanted and ordered a pair. It was a .hr website so I thought I was dealing with a supplier in Croatia. Unfortunately I didn't write down any details and I've now forgotten the name of the website.
I received an email confirmation from a company called BRO Group which shows the amount I paid on debit card but no details of the product ordered. Also the contact details were for people in Bulgaria. I later received an email from DPD Croatia saying that my parcel had an expected delivery date of April 22. There was also a tracking number but when I checked that it is not recognised by their system. The parcel has not arrived so this morning I emailed BRO Group to ask what's happening.

I did a Google search for the phone number given in the BRO Group email and came up with an online shoe shop called novamoda.eu. That site appears to be in Bulgarian. To be honest, it is the Bulgarian connection that worries me most, as I have been ripped off a few times by Bulgarians and have heard horror stories about the crime and corruption there.

The answer is yes and no! I do now have some shoes although they are about 3 sizes too small. The fabric is more like you would use for slippers so I now have some lace up slippers that I can't wear. They are labelled 46 so it is not just an error by pickers in a warehouse. Just more chinesium I suppose, like the XL t-shirts that are the same size as my old M&S medium size shirts.

Is there anything handy on the website confirming order completed part to suggest there's a report a problem feature?
If not, it might be worth using the email at the bottom of the site - [email protected] - to contact them.
They might be intrigued if you do it in English. You never know.
