Government rejects Euthanasia bill for terminally ill

The British Government has just thrown out the bill allowing terminally ill people the right to end their lives with the help of qualified assistance.

Reasons given..(amongst others) Life is a gift from God. Extinguishing the eternal soul. is a sin Whats your thoughts on this supposedly secular Institution using God to make this judgement about peoples lives or rather the manner of their deaths.?

It's estimated that the overwhelming majority of the country would want to be allowed assisted deaths. In Scotland..where it was also rejected. 70% of the population would also want this choice.

The government didn't 'throw it out' - a large majority of the House of Commons voted against the bill in its first reading.
