Default Gibraltar - Trying to work out the income tax.

Hi,

I've been looking on this site trying to work out the income tax.
http://www.gibraltar.gov.gi/gov_dept.../tax_index.htm

But i guess im too stupid as i couldn't work out the deductions and stuff.

How much would i take home per year if im on £18K and single and a permitted individual?

I would really appreciate if someone could have a look or tell me how much tax they pay.

From the look of it seems that Gibraltar has higher taxes than England?

Thanks
Stefan

Yes, the tax is higher than the UK. Personal allowance, £2580, thereafter taxed at 17% on the next £4000, at 30% on the next £6000, at 35% on the next £5000, and at 45% on anything above that. Appalling.

Hi Stefan,

I earn £19,000 per year, and get £1060 a month!

I am on a tax code of 10, which is the basic (ie single, no kids, no savings account, no life insurance etc)

In general you are looking at about 35% (alot more than the UK!!) tax, which really is the major downside of working in Gib.
