Extending my GF`s visitor status-UK
Hi all,
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, I`m not sure where to post it.
My dilemna is that my Girlfriend arrived here (UK) from Canada in late July. Unfortunately she arrived on a one way. Now this caused a whole load of problems at Gatwick and she was nearly turned back. After spending the whole morning at immigration they decided to let her officially `Land`.
She was granted 6 weeks stay
Well, I decided to see about extended her stay here for six months, I was able to sponsor her and convince them I would support her as she could not legally work.
Fine, they granted her until January of next year
My problem (finally) is would I have serious problems trying to extend it one more time before she is told to leave, I really couldn`t stand the thought of us being seperated.
Reason I`m not sponsoring her for PR is that we both intend to return to Canada and live. Unfortunately to takes time.
Well, sorry this is long but I`m panicking a little, any suggestions would be appreciated. I just want to extend her stay for another 6 months, I can comfortably afford to keep her.
Regards,
Rob.
