Do all other countries have a poor opinion of British food? How do you put them right
How do you put them right?
I find a traditional Sunday roast dinner (roast pork and apple sauce is my speciality) often does the trick. Or Cottage Pie or Toad in the Hole. |

It seems a pretty general opinion. Here in Germany a good roast with yorkshire pudding goes down well, with roast vegetables in particular roast parsnips. Otherwise I cook gourmet meals for our German friends, from French recipes etc.

Christmas pudding with brandy butter does the trick for me. My Swedish friends and neighbours look at it with suspicion but can't wait to exchange their passports for British once they've tried it. And scones. Strangely enough they can't get enough of them.
