Default Costa de la Luz

Hi,
I am seriously thinking of moving to the Costa de la Luz area, in particular the Cadiz region. Is there anyone who lives there who can contact me? I could do with some advice. My partner & I are kicking the rat race of Southern England into touch. Can anyone help us?

Default costa de la luz

My husband and I and 2 girls ages 7 and 13 are hoping to move to the costa de la luz shortly. My husband has already been to view property. We are returning later this month and hope to purchase a suitable property. My husband is a plumber/air conditioning fitter/jack of all trades but very honest and reliable.. Please let me know if you have found anything yet. I would love to hear from anyone hoping to go to this area. Any info. would be great.

bought a property in the costa de la luz 2 weeks ago. We`ve bought off plan, so cannot move there till next year. We`ve bought in ayamonte, 5km from isla canela right on the portugese border, cant wait to get out of the rat race here.

off plan simply means off the architects plan. So you see a photo, artisit's impression and the plan for the property and lay down a deposit. The constuctor then builds your property. It's a cheaper option to buy.

Hope that helps

There's a little more to it than that. You typically put down 30% as a deposit, then another 30% when the roof goes on etc.,

As always when buying in Spain there are pitfalls so it's vital to get good legal advice.
