Any info on Fuerteventura - canary islands
Does anyone have any information regarding moving to fuerteventura or any of the other canary islands??? Please help!!

Just seen your post. Hope its not too late...
Fuerteventura, although gorgeous and very appealing, it is a very windy Island, sometimes the wind blows for days.
And most importantly, some coastal areas are actually a gateway for illegal immigrants to enter Europe. Once they land on the Island they make their way to mainland Spain if not caught by the Costal Police. I have seen this on Spanish TV news bulletins.
It may not affect residents as the immigrants are "just passing" through, although for peace of mind it may be worth checking with the local Police before committing.
