Default Another travel with DUI question

I am a Canadian that got a DUI 3 years ago in the USA. Does anyone know if this is a problem for travel in europe?

Particularly Switzerland and France?

Can anyone direct me to the legislation governing entry to these countries?

Thanks for any input, yes I know I was stupid.

I don't think entry is a problem (but i'm not an expert) - Normally, its a civil offence, not a criminal offence - but i'm not sure what it is in canada. You *probably* will have extreme difficulties renting a car, as most car rental places can't insure you for upto 10 years after an alcohol/drugs related offence.
