am I too late
Thinking of moving to Spain. I run a small business in UK re: domestic appliances Repairs mainly. I would have to carry on working if I moved. Has anybody done anything similar and with any success? I am not looking to make a fortune just a reasonable standard of living. As the subject indicates is it too late or are there still opportunities? I probably would have to be one of the work till you are 70 brigade if I stay in the UK. Am now early fifties and the thought of that in the UK is not appealling. Have thought about this for some time and have been taking Spanish lessons . Any suggestions would be gratefully received

it's never too late. i'm in my early forties and i'm in the process of giving up my well paid computer job to teach english in valencia / alicante region. i should think you wouldn't have much of a problem finding work especially in the expat communities of the costas although it always helps if you can speak the lingo'.
good luck

But repairing appliances is different. We have a total lack of these kind of workers in Spain - good plumbers, carpenters, mechanics....Lately thare have been a lot coming from south america and east europe, but my feeling is that there is still room
