Hi there mate, im just in the early stages (paperwork for vetassess) and i was wondering how long it took them to get back to you after filling out the form and sending all you certs and references. On that note also, how much detail did you go in to with employment history and references etc. I think i have a fair amount of evidence but have nothing to judge it against.

Also, are you going to apply for any state sponsorship and did you have to do the English test for extra points.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul

I sent it on the 21st January and had email this week, so much quicker than I expected to be honest.

I went into a fair bit of detail and with employment history I wrote out the letter for my boss to copy when he was happy with it.

There is a sticky thread at the top of the electrician section by Steve o which is really helpful I took the lead from that on how I set my letter out.

Good luck!

Hi again thanks for that info. When you say you got 7.5 extra points is that on top of the 15 you get for having an English passport. I spoke to the high commission advice line in London and was told you 15 standard points for having a uk passport without sitting English test?

Sorry the 7.5 was the score I got overall in the IELTS test , everyone has to do it now as far as I am aware, it all changed july 2011.

Not sure about the 15 points your referring too, If you do in the DIAC website and search for points test, that might help you
