Update Electrician in Perth

Hi everyone, some of you may remember us we moved to Perth in Nov 2009 after my OH did Vetassess. Just an update really to let you all know about the licence business once over here. Basically when you have passed Vetassess and before coming over here get in contact with Energy Safety in Perth and tell them you want to apply for your A Class licence. Mike did this and then was booked on the course, he did a 2 week course which was pretty intense. He had to do a practical exam on the last day and written exam. Out of 10 only 4 passed on the same day if you fail you do get another chance the following day. You will not be able to get work without your A Class, it was not easy getting a job with it even though there does seem to be a lot of jobs advertised. He has a job now and starts on Monday but it is a slow process and employers do not get back to you very quickly. The upside is that it is beautiful over here and we love it and would not go back to the UK. If you need any more info please pm me and my OH will try to help as much as he can. Can I just say that this route was the easiest for us in WA I dont know about other states. Good luck to you all
