Unhappy UK ELECTRICIAN IN NEED OF HELP

I have a positive TRA assessment and because of my age am applying for the RSMS visa. Finding it very difficult to find an employer who will job sponsor me. I have a job placement company and migration agent who are helping, but so far all that they have promised me and not happened! I was led to believe this would be an easy task as Australia are crying out for skilled people. Has anyone gone down this route and suceeded? Would anyone know of any companies that require electricians and be willing to sponsor? My family and I would ideally like to live in SE QLD or NE NSW, but are obviously now at a stage where we would consider any regional location. Sorry to be a whinger, but we have paid alot of money to fulfil our dream and so far it's becoming an nightmare!! Any help or suggestions will be greatfully recieved.
Thanks Allan:

Hi Steve, I am 49, hence my only option is RSMS and I was told by my migration agent they will submit it with 'exceptional circumstance'(think that's right)
