Default self employed only as electrician

hi all,
i have only ever been a self employed spark working for just 2 companies what is the best form off proof i can use to prove my experience? is a letter enough?

Hi there, my husband also has only ever been self employed, for the first part vetassess we sent references, tax returns, photos of van signage etc, invoices (client and supplier),business card, liability insurance papers,statements of occupational experience, along with all apprenticeship papers and qualifications.
Basically i think the more stuff you can gather together the better! Hope this helps good luck with everything, Lou
