welcome to BE

safe isolation is a term used when isolatitng a circuit safely. The following link gives good detail on how to Safely Isolate.

Safeisolation

Main points to remember

1, Make sure your tester is working correctly on a proven unit.
2, Test source to disconnect
3, Switch off source and lock off with padlock/warning notice
4, Test disconnected source again to prove isolated.
5, Re test your tester on a proven unit.

That is a very basic summary of perfroming a safe isolation.

ANy more questions feel free to ask

Default Re: safe isolation

Ensure you place a warning notice at the isolator otherwise it will be an instant fail. As it was for a electrician siting his A grade license in WA.

Best of luck
