Default SA licence converted to another state???

Hi guys,

Now i know Wendy's other half is down in SA and to get the licence it is meant to be the best state, easyest anyway! Just wondering if anyone on here has got the licence down there and transferd it to another state? We go out in june and im seriously thinking about doing this, get a bit of work under my belt oz style then shoot down to SA to get the licence. Are there any hidden complications doing this, is it frowned upon, does anyone know of anyone that has done it

Hi Stu,well that John's next step in the game,John got classed as a fitter on the ARTC and just got his WA licence ,Filled in the forms and sending them off on monday with the $ and guess what, one WA fitters licence swapped into a SA licence which is fitter/mech all in one. Then step 3,SA licence is swapped for QLD one as they are recognised as the same.So I know it a long way around getting a QDL fitter/mech licence but if we knew earlier we could have just appliesd for the SA one ,got the course from Peer sent up to Brissie, flew down to SA sit the tests and the just swapped to QLD.
but as Joh said ,life ws't meant to be easy.
Will get there in the end and it is still months quicker and cheaper than trying to get th QLD licence from scratch.PS don't tell the licencing people as they might not like us finding ways around them, even though it is all legal, wouldn't want them to close it upon us.If Australia got it's act together as they have talked about for the last 3 years it would be one system Ausralia wide and much simpler.
cheers Lorri
