hi sean, welcome to the forum.

i assume you mean the sparky vetassess assessment?

if so check out this thread

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=520432

its got it all. loads of people on here have done the test, some found it easier than others. most found their nerves were the biggest problem. if you are a working sparks, and youre prepared to do a bit of homework (as a refresher) you should be ok.

plenty of time so have a browse around.

good luck

Re: Practicle exam.

sean,

Dont worry to much about the practical exam. It only involves pvc conduit, pvc/pvc cable, 2 way lighting and a single socket.

You connect a start stop contactor for a motor and connect some resistors in series or parrallel depending on the sheet given to you.

The guys from vetessas are sound and very helpfull too.

The written exam is a multiple choice which wasn't to bad. I dont know how much you remember from colledge but a little revision on basic formulaes wouldnt go a miss. Revise capacitors/resistors in series, parrallel and series parrallel but dont go to far.

every body passed on my test day
