Hi All,

Back again:

From candidate guide:

"Perform a disconnect/ reconnect of electrical equipment using safe working procedures in a logical manner and test the disconnected equipment before re-connection"

My question: what kind of electrical equipment were applied for discon/conn to you guys??

appreciate in advance.
P.S am preparing for my vetassess assessment

I had to 'replace' a pump in a hospital as my scenario but I did do mine with Vic Uni when they were only just getting into it.

Mine was a Tubular heater in a canteen that had given someone a shock. I had to safely isolate, remove, test, then replace it. I had to write the minimum allowed insulation resistance for the appliance and also test continuity of the element.

Because the different companies doing skills assessments are all RTO's for TRA there should be very little difference between the tests conducted so have a look at what info is available about testing generally. Also, Vetassess have guides online and in particular, they outline the safe disconnect / reconnect process.

Hi everyone

I have quick question about Diconnection / Reconnection pocedure .

" test voltage tester at known `LIVE’/PROVEN source for correct operation before use. "

How do you do it on exam ? is there provided a proving unit ?

There were some people who did not have tools - you can share with others and I think there were some tools available but I cannot remember how much.

Do you know anyone here who can lend you some tools for the test?

Unfortunately I don't know any sparky . I'm in Brisbane since 6 months on Skilled graduate visa 476 it has left only 12 months of my visa so I'm trying to get PR . I'm looking now for job as an Electrical Trade Assistant and then hopefully I will meet some people in profession.

PS. I've read every single topic in this thread , very helpful !!

I need to get ready for my assessment with Future Skills ( 28.04 )
