OMG

We managed to get on the April assessment.

You may think we're a bit mad for getting so excited.....maybe we are!

We've spent the last week and a half checking the email in the middle of the night and asking nicely if we could be squeezed onto it and our case officer emailed to say Dave made it.

Now I can sleep easy for a couple of weeks until the waiting starts for the results.

Hi Becky,

When did you return your paperwork to them? We sent ours back via email on 25th Feb and also posted a hard copy. They took the fee on 26th Feb but we haven't heard anything at all from them. We emailed on Tues but still have had no reply whatsoever!! I have been told from another BE member that they rang this week also and were told that they were very busy in the office and not to worry it would be on its way!! Kinda frustrating though!!

Hi,

We got our confirmation passed it on 28th Feb by email.
Then email booking form straight back to them, was a bit of a mix up ie they only emailed us 1 side of booking form so on sunday night got email from them with other side and emailed it back they took payment on sunday night.
Then I emailed case officer on 6th and got the reply on the 7th.
I'm sure you'll be fine drop your case officer an email I'm sure you'll get a reply.
We've been told we'll find out our date on tuesday.

We emailed them last Tuesday and haven't had a reply yet, hopefully we'll hear something in a day or two. If not, we'll ring them.

Hi Becky how is your OH feeling about the exam, my OH has been told to be there at 7.30 am he is a bit worried about it all. Im sooo glad its not me taking the exam.

He's not excited about it to say the least.
Gonna get his college stuff out and swat up.
I've told him no pressure whats $1600 and another 3 months wait til next practicals.
And thank god its not me.
Wish we knew more.

My OH has spoken to someone who sat the exam in December and he said it was a really long day and not easy. I think that they give you some examples of what the practical could include before you sit the assessment so that would be pretty helpful, his main worry is not the practical but the technical interview but I am sure they will all be fine. Wish your OH best of luck and let us know what date you get.

I think we'll have to see if we're awake that late!! Hubby has been at work since 6 this morning as he has for the last 4 days, think he'll be off to bed very early tonight!!!

Thanks though, it's good to know that we're all in the same boat, I find this site extremely helpful but get very down when I see all the lucky people who have had their visa's granted and whilst I know they've been at the process for a lot longer than us, I also know that we've still got quite a way to go. Never mind, I'm sure it'll be us hopefully one day soon!!!

I know what you mean Mel, sometimes you just feel like giving the whole thing up. Im just worried that when I get the visa I will just freak and say Im not going. My friends applied for their visas in August 2007 and still have not got a case officer so lots of people are still on that long wait, we will get there in the end, lets hope its worth it. Lots of luck and karma sent.

I wonder if I'll feel the same if we ever get to visa granted stage, will I bottle it too, I suppose it's only natural though, especially for you as you've not been over to see what it's like. It's just the waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you stay up late enough, women at Vetassess was quite happy to speak to me! Might be worth a try, failing that send an email thorugh asking they normally respond the same day.

Cheers, will see how it goes!! I wonder if perhaps our CO is off on hols or sick and that's why we haven't got a reply to our email yet?
