Cant believe it, just when we thought we might not make it to the April Assessment our friendly postman has just delivered the long awaited letter.

Our date is 7th April!! OH a bit nervous now, he was hoping that it was going to be later on in the week!

We have a slight query though - it says 7th April, 0730am North West College, London but in amongst the paperwork they have included directions to a college in Accrington, Lancs, which would be ideal for us (we live in Scotland) but we are assuming they have just made a mistake and it is in London.

Will have to email them to confirm location.

Hi well done on getting your date, we are on the 8th. I am pretty sure it will be in London I dont think they are doing it elsewhere. Just wanted to say good luck, hope it goes okay.

Just had an email confirming that our practical is in London and not Lanc.

So now to book accommodation - anyone booked yet?

hi ang we are booking today prob for the park end travelodge its the closest we think, bit worried about parking at the college there does not appear to be much parking oh well if it comes to it will catch taxi. Best of luck to your OH.

Hi both,

Thank goodness you've got your date.

We were given the 8th from the expo but have had an email from our case officer giving the 14th. Can they get anything right? We are going to ring tonight to confirm which date is correct. AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had same problem but only a day different not a week. Dave's on the 14th as well, so they will be able to meet.

Think I'm off down with him to share the driving but I'm not sure.

Did they send you the direction to Accrington too? How confusing!

Hi all,

We booked at travel lodge wembley this morning. OH is just going to leave car there and get a taxi to college - i think that will be easier.

We are travelling from Scotland, so kids and i are tagging along as far as Nuneaton, where we are going to annoy Nana for a few days

Mel - hope you get everything sorted - we actually received our email this morning from Kellie Dowling - she actually does exist!

Thanks everyone, as if this isn't nerve wracking enough for everyone, they like to confuse us all too, do you think it's part of the test??

Hubby is just off to work with a little light reading - his college notes!! The countdown has begun!!!!!

I think it'll be interesting to see what everyone gives as feedback for Vetassess on how the process has been!!!

We'll see if Kellie Dowling does actually exist when we try ringing tonight!!

We seem to have directions to London and if there is any chance of not having to drive then I think it'd be easier, not good for parking around there apparently, we rang the college and they don't advise leaving the car on roadside parking and they don't have on-site parking either, taking a taxi may be best?

Well, spoke to Kellie Dowling last night - yes, it appears she does actually exist!!. She has confirmed that our date is the 14th, she said that he must have been given a date from an old list but why he's been moved to the 14th we have no idea!! Let's hope the rest of the process goes a little more smoothly!!

Becky, our oh's will be going through this together then!!
