Newly qualified and wanting a license
Hi,
I'm 21 and will be doing my AM2 in August to complete my NVQ3 apprenticeship and gain approved electrician status. I've read through the process of how to gain a license in oz.
I understand that when migrating you need 3-4 years experience after the apprenticeship for the TRA application, but I already have Australian residency so don't think I need this.
Will I be able to just apply for the license on my qualifications and working experience that I already have?
Mitch

as you`ve got uk qualifications you`ll have to go via the artc
http://www.workplace.gov.au/workplac...nresidents.htm
get your artc, apply for licence, sit local wiring rules exam and you`ll be sorted

Cheers Steve, I hadn't found that page.
So I just have to follow the procedure in Wendy's sticky thread and I'll be sorted for gaining a license
It won't matter that I don't have the years of experience after the apprenticeship?
