How to get trade skills certificates recognised as ozzie skills ?
 

Hi everyone,
We are new to the forum, but are finding loads of info.. Really helpful guys !!
Steve O , you seem to be famous on here (hehe). You are a mine of info. Cheers mate!
Do you know how we go about getting my OH skills certificates recognised as ozzie skills. A friend of mine in queensland has said something about having to have an address in Oz to do this, and that we can use him. Not sure what the process is though ??
My OH has his trade test in October with Vetassess. (scary!!).

thats done as part of the vettesses application
you will get a document at the end ( osrt ) that says that your the equivilant of an australian trained tradesman, this is used to apply for your licence to work
as youve probably seenthe quickest way of doing this is to go via peer in adelaide ( just for sheer speed )

hi steve o,
please can you advise us.i am an electrician,but live in France therefore i have to go the tra way.i sent this off about 2 weeks ago now and just waiting,when and if it comes back favourably how do i go about getting artc.is it the same route as per eveyone else? ie doing the peer course at adelaide or do i have to do some prelimanary test first,as i haven't completed any tests or anything via tra.also i want to go to qld as state sponsored,as i don't have eough points and don't want to do the ielts test,if we go there do i still have to do their tests after doing the peer course,or is that it.?
