Getting An Australian Trade Certificate

Please Help?! .....Applying For An Australian Trade Certificate
hi,
im currently in perth on a working holiday visa (from the uk) but have been given an opportunity to work for a mining company.
i have completed a full electrical apprenticeship in the uk (city and guilds)
i worked from 2003-2010 as a electrician for two different companies, one as an apprentice and the other for a new opportunity.
im now trying to get an Australian reconised trade certificate so i can apply for my provisional electricians licence.
the process to get my trade reconised seems very in depth and alot of information is needed.
is there any particular tips or pitfalls i should watch for as i really want to this off many thanks, any tips, advice.....anything will help!! wayne
