General Electrician Vetassess Practical Skills Assessment - advice please!
 

Hi all

I am writing on behalf of my partner. He is taking the Vetassess Stage 2 Practical Assessment - General Electrician this weekend in London and is very nervous for what to expect.

I have been reading up trying to help prepare him and have seen that the following seems to come up alot in the test?

Ohms Law
Isolation procedure
Wiring diagram of DOL motor

Obviously i am not an electrician myself so this doesn't make sense to me but if anyone has recently done the General Electrician test and could please provide some advice on what to expect i would really appreciate it!

My partner is the main applicant of our visa so I am trying to help him as much as i can and calm down his nerves....

He is an Electrical Supervisor and does this everyday for a living but is still very nervous due to the pressure of it being a test and also the cost of it.

The test does not really change, so info on here from previous tests is relevant. The guide by Vetassess on their website (http://www.vetassess.com.au/Portals/...te%20Guide.pdf) also covers what should be expected.
