Electricians in NZ
Just wondering if there are any sparks from NZ who can tell me what the work situation is like. I'm currently in Perth on a working holiday visa and am looking at the possibility of going to NZ for a while when my visa expires. I have a WA 'A' Grade licence. Is this recognised in New Zealand? I've heard that wages are pretty bad in NZ too...but this wouldn't matter too much as long as I had enough to live.

Re: Electricians in NZ
hi
I worked in nz for a couple of years as a sparks, it was good and really got on with the blokes.
I worked for bishman electrical in mt wellington, auckland. Mainly industrial and commercial contracts.
Money was about $24- $26 an hour, that was in 2005 though.
Herd that the work has dried up a bit and if you havnt got a license then you will struggle. i think your license is transferable but dont quote me on that.
great country though.
