Electricians in Adalaide
Hi,
I m a nurse my partner is a 16th edition electrician.We are going to Adelaide on the 457 visa .I will be the nominee as I m under 45 and have a job waiting for me once all paperwork through.However my partner wants to work as an electrician ,we realise he needs to do exams etc.Has anyone got any advice on getting started with the registration process to allow him to work in Adelaide.Any advice would be appreciated or any Brits working in Adelaide as an electrician. There experiances would be great

He will need to apply for his ARTC certificate. You can download that here: http://www.workplace.gov.au/NR/rdonl...ck9Oct2007.pdf

He will also need to attend the wiring rules course at Peer: http://www.peer.com.au/index1024m.htm
Once he has passed the exam and got his ARTC certificate then he will be able to apply at the OCBA for his licence.
