Default Electrician IN MELBOURNE LOOKING WORK

Well, I have recently landed in MELBOURNE and am looking for a company that would take on a qualified J.I.B. electrician to work as a T.A. (trade assistent). I dont have the 'A grade licence'. The company will get a qualified electrician for less money and i will get to do what i love to do. Any help would be greatly appriceated, names of companies, numbers or poiting me in the right direction. Thanks for your time.

i honestly think your wasting your time asking this on here mate

what i would suggest is a trip to your local electrical wholesalers ask nicely if they will allow you to put a small add somewhere prominent ie on the trade desk that way it`ll get the maximum exposure

good luck
steve

ps yellow pages and a phone around wouldn't do any harm either

Hi Jockstar,

Yes things have slowed right down here in Melbourne, construction has almost stopped ,and to get a start on a union job is almost impossible unless you know the foreman or someone high up.
I was made redundant few weeks ago from a local company ,and due to not having very few good contacts here finding it hard to get another start.I rely on looking on seek etc which is ok except hundreds of guys are doing the same and the chance of getting an interview is remote.
Ive got 20 yrs exp in commercial, industrial and domestic installation work and still am sitting home on my ass.
I might have to commute to sydney, see how things pan out over next few weeks.

Any one know of work in Melbourne please send me a pm

thanks Richard
