Electrician CAN to UK

Hi,
I was born in France and moved to Canada 10 years ago. I completed my 4ish years of apprenticeship and I have been a certified red seal journeyman construction electrician for 3 years.
My wife and I are looking to spend some time in the UK and France and I am looking for some information for equivalence between Canada and the UK.
I am sure that I will have to pass some exam mostly regarding the the code. As far as experience I am confident that the trade is similar on each side of the sea.

I can also respond to some of your questions regarding working as an electrician in Canada.

But for your info, you probably already know that you will have to either redo all of your training or challenge it. Nevertheless you will need to prove your experience in order to validate your necessary hours towards your qualification(1800hours per level and 4 years/levels apprenticeship).
You can also challenge the red seal right away but without knowledge of the code it is mission Impossible.
