Difference in Qualifications?
 
Can anyone tell me if the South African Installation Electrician Qualifications will be valid in the UK?

We had a South African lad work for us a couple of years ago and he was told his papers wern't recognised so he had to do a night school and get his 236 1&2 even though he was a good sparks.

Should only need to do his 16th Edition. Bulgarian, Poles, you name them can come and work as Electrician as long as they do there 16th Edition.
