Hello everyone, I have completed a full apprenticeship an gained 2330
City an guilds levels 2 and 3 , nvq 3 and passed my AM2 exam. I am going
Travelling in jan around asia then landing in oz in march on a 12 month
Working holiday visa. I will be looking to find work as an electrician once
Am there. Just want to know if there are courses I can take in england before
I go which will help me get work once am there, an are my qualifications
Any good over there??

Depends where you will be staying. NSW easy enough to get work as an unlicenced sparky. Victoria very hard. Also i think the rest of the states are also more difficult that NSW. Never had a problem here.

no its usually just a written application they only test if they think you dont meet the mark

you can apply from the uk but you`ll need an aussie address to send out the reply as they wont send it overseas ( use a mates or ask some one on here )

I will be flying into sydney and staying there most of time. So if I fill out the ARTC
Application an give in my friends address in sydney and they except me,
Does that mean that am ready to work there then?

sorry if only it was that simple

an artc is only proof that you meet au standards as a sparkie
artc = australian recognised trade cert

you would need to do an au wiring course as well now this differs from state to state as do the requiremenst for the courses

as youl`ll be spending most of your time in nsw do a search on nsw au wiring courses for licencing
