ARTC or Vetassess
Hi Folks again
My mate has a visa to start with my mate in perths company (457). He is an electrician but will be starting by installing data cabling and fibre optic cables etc. He is flying out at the end of June with his family but is keen to set the wheels in motion so that he can eventually obtain his "grade A" licence. He is in the process of having his documents certified in the UK but unsure whether he should wait until he gets to Perth (ARTC) or send to Vetassess. If it is the latter then he would have to return to sit his exam. Can anyone offer some advice on what his options, best route would be. Thanks in advance. |
Re: ARTC or Vetassess
I was under the impression that you couldn't get a 457 visa without already being licenced. I may be wrong...

If your mate already has a 457 visa then go for the ARTC and f### the vetassess right off. Both permanent and temporary residents can apply for an ARTC. It's a lot cheaper and less involved than vetassess and makes gap training in Oz a lot easier as well. Regards Derren |
