Hi all, I am currently filling the ARTC form, I have been assessed by the TRA that has classed me as a general electrician. I would be over Oz for a month in September and I have been granted my 136 visa.

My questions.

A) The form asks am I a permanent resident in Oz, I no i'm not at the moment so I guess I tick the No box (just answered it myself)

B) Then it asks date I arrived. If I post the form off before September do I put the date in for when I arrive in Oz?

I do have a Oz address that a person has kindly given me so the ARTC can post to as I have no family or friends over Oz (Not yet anyway)
I have searched the forum and cannot find the answers, anyone please.

You cant apply for ARTC until you are living in Australia ( that is until you have an australian address for them to reply to ) ....if I were you I'd get as much done in advance as I could!

A - Because you have a PR visa, you can tick yes

B - Put you arrival date for September down.

Hi,
Andy aplied about a month before arriving in Perth. He told them the date our flight was booked and where we would be staying (my sisters) so i dont recon you should have a problem. The Arct turned up four days before us.

Thanks for the info, I will be putting the date I would be in Oz even though its just for a month for now until I sell up.

yes you can john i applied and got mine whilst still in manchester last year

yes you do need an aussie address
so
use a mates and get them to foreward it to you in the uk
