ARTC-Electrical Fitter
Dear all,
Today I had got my ARTC.They had classified me as Electrical Fitter,whereas i applied for Mechanic.Can anybody explain me the difference between thease two.Can I go for licence for ''A'" grade now.what will they give me.Is that fitter or mechanic.confused.help me. Ramana Murthy |

Ramana Murthy Where abouts are you? As I understand it, in QLD a fitter can't get a full licence as they can't connect to or disconnect from the mains. In SA either a mechanic or fitter can providing they have done the wiring rules course and passed the exam. Not sure about the other states though. |

It's confused me :D Do you need to apply for an Electrical Fitters training permit, then once you get the Electrical Fitters licence apply for an Electrical Mechanics training permit to be able to apply for an Electrical Mechanics licence? Or did I read it wrong :blink::D |
