artc confused
 
hello,

Bit confused just heard from AUS I've been classed as a fitter and a mech the lad who's address I'm using is not the sharpest tool is this right?

Hi mate, I think its only one or the other as a mechanic can do everything but if thats right aint you a lucky fella. How about you have the fitter and you can give me the mechanic:thumbsup: . Im just about to send mine off, when the bloody visa arrives.

Just checked with him again and he says it definately says mech and fitter????

Well thats great then mate! Iv not heard of that? What type of work do you do? Im maintenance but i do a hell of a lot of instalation work aswell so would like to think i could get both but id be more than happy with mechanic!
Would you belive it we got notification aswell that the visa has been granted so hopefully can get the ARTC sent off.

Hello Stu,

I do pretty much the same as you I'm a facilities electrician (maintenance)but also do a load of installation work as our company uses specialist kit from the US and Japan, I also have my only liitle business doing installation type work.

Good news on the VISA where you heading???

We'r heading for cairns in june, flights booked for the 25th. Can finally get my ARTC sent off now!
Im a maintenance spark at our local hospital but all instalation work has always been kept in house. I prefer in to doing maintenance. Iv also done loads of domestic stuff over the years but thats all been in my own time. Iv done c&g 2391 and done loads of testing on the domestic work and commercial so hope it gives me a little head start out there.
Thats great mate been given both, never heard of it before!

I've never heard of it before neither I'll get him to hold it up to a web cam so i can read it myself!!!
Sounds like you do exactly the same as me trade wise all that i did on the ARTC was hit them with loads of pictures of different Isolators ,LV panels Tap of boxes,busrails,Dis boards etc to prove that i connected upto mains supply also made loads of references to 2391 live testing. In other words rammed it down there throats that I work on live kit

Got to go know going watchin LFC for ther last time than off LAP DANCIN don't tell the missus!!!!!!!!!!!

Iv done quite a few photo's but think i might get a few more done this week, its the best way to show them i guess.

yeah, all our apprentices come out of there time as fitter mechanics but in qld if you get mechanic only you can still do fitter work.
