Applying for ARTC - need advice

I have the following written for my Part 10 - Description of Work:

During my apprenticeship in England, I was involved mainly in domestic work but also did industrial and commercial. The domestic work included re-wiring houses, wiring new-builds, general maintenance and fault finding at houses. This educated me in the basic fabrication of houses and how to first and second fix in a domestic environment.

I was using all basic hand tools, battery-powered drill drivers, and mains drills, both for drilling holes and chasing out the walls for cables (along with angle grinders). For the fault finding, we would use multi-function testers.

My duties also included:

Storage heaters, TV Aerials, Emergency lighting, Central heating, Fire alarms & smoke detectors, Pub & shop work, Projectors & Interactive whiteboards in offices and schools, switchboard upgrades, Mains Earthing and SWA cable running and terminating.

This was relevant for the duration (4 years) of my apprenticeship.

Since being in Australia, I've held two jobs as an Electrical TA.

The first, in Darwin, was a job doing projectors and whiteboards in schools, a field in which I'd already worked in, in England.

The second, in Adelaide, was working for ### Electrical, who mainly specialise in Solar installs. My duties included:

Running cables between the switchboard, panels and inverter, mounting the inverter and an isolator on the wall and fitting conduit between them, terminating the isolator and switchboard, earthing the solar panels, connecting them and cable tying the cables, and testing and commissioning the system

I also did some air conditioning work in offices and commercial work at schools.

For this job, I needed all hand tools, battery-powered drill-drivers and a mains-powered drill for drilling large holes into wall cavities from the outside walls and fixing to the walls.

I was doing the Solar work in Adelaide for 6 months, and would like to continue doing this type of work in Adelaide.

I was wondering if anyone who had already gained the ARTC could give me some advice, if the above statement is good or bad, does the ARTC enable me to get a job as an A-class sparky, can I work elsewhere in Australia or just SA, how long it usually takes to process, what's the chances of having a trade test (and what does it entail).

Was also wondering if anyone had gotten here on a state sponsorship, my plan at the moment is to go home in June after the end of my 2nd year working holiday visa, and then come back out in a year or two. Haven't got anything set in stone though, am generally clueless about what my plans are.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

Hows it going alunfrostbite

Ive went through this process last year its straight forward enough, In the description of domestic you need to go more in-depth with the description as to exactly what materials used what tools eg types of screwdrivers, pliers etc etc just as much as possible the same goes with the industrial and commercial as the last thing you want is them rejecting you for not giving enough evidence and asking you to sit the exam at your own cost, you need to be very careful what you state in regards with working as a TA because what you are ment to be doing is very limited and you certainly shouldn't be doing any terminating you should maybe look it up somewhere online to see what you are allowed to do. I worked in Murray bridge bout a hour outside Adelaide for a company in Adelaide. once you get ur TRA certificate ur then allowed to work as an assisted electrician and if you want you can do the 3 day course at tafe if you know enough about the aussie regs.
Hope this helps you if you need to know anything else its no problem.
Cheers Stevie.

Thanks for help so far guys, was also wondering what I should put for 'Part 7 - Do you have any relevant occupational licensing and/or registration'?

Is this referencing a JIB card or what?

Thanks. Am currently rewriting Part 10, skiving off work today to get it sorted.
