Applying for ARTC

Hiya

We already have our visa and are moving the beginning of the year. Want to get started on the ARTC so Chris can get his B Licence asap. Going to Melbourne.

We only needed a couple of references for the TRA and Visa as they covered the time and experience required so we now have to get references from the other ex employers which were not required for Visa. A couple of these however don't exist anymore. Is it ok to do Statutory Declarations for these to send with the ARTC application.

Thanks

make sure that your references are detailed
so and so worked here was a good time keeper and honest jus wont cut it i`m afraid
you need to cover the following points

What are tradespeople in Australia expected to be capable of?
You must demonstrate that you are capable of doing the broad range of work normally done by, and to the same level of skill as, a tradesperson trained in Australia.

The work of a tradesperson includes:

reading work instructions and technical drawings common to the trade;
planning independently the method and order of doing a job;
using measuring instruments correctly;
marking out, laying out and setting up trade work;
selecting appropriate materials, tools, machines and equipment;
making appropriate settings on tools, machines and equipment;
performing trade work independently; and
checking and /or testing work against established standards.
You must also demonstrate that you have adequate background/theoretical knowledge.

hope this helps

Thanks for your help.

We have a couple of references which were done by our agent for the TRA and Visa so will use them as a guide for the rest. Wish he had stayed in the same job for years instead of contracting haha!!

I read your helpful references before, but what did you write about your college stuff. Hes got 236 1 and 2 , AM1 and 2, JIB. Am i reading it correctly that they want the college stuff explained in detail..ie does it have to go into depth of , each element of the, now forgotten syllabus.Or are the certificates enough in themselves. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
