the only real way forward as i see it would be to go to peer in adelaide
there you can do your sparkies licence with your artc or ostr ( depending on which route you appied for your visa ) within about three weeks
gain a full south australia licence and be straight into work
all the other routes do work but take alot longer

it doesnt seem to bad to be honest, just a ****** pain applying everywhere and paying them for the fun of it

and then going to the next authority and doing the same

Dont make me laugh, no chance to be honest.

I found it difficult to secure anything here in the uk so just going and applying once there!

Will do all the required courses for the mines when i get there, will be labouring for a few months so i get to know areas and companies.

There are a few agencies that i will visit which specialise in the mining industry so hoping they will be able to help

any good info i find out i will sell to the highest bidder or i might just post on here

That's not good then! When my OH went to the London expo, he was given some details of mining places that said they would have him there straight away, I'm sure you've tried every avenue, however, if you want to see if they are the same ones, I can try to dig the details out and let you have them - anything might be worth a try!!

I agree with you that it's hard to try to get a job whilst you're still here, I thought they were crying out for the skills!!!!

Good luck, if nothing else, enjoy the sun - at least there's some of that over there, even in the winter!!!
