What would be helpful to people reading your post would be some indication of your qualifications and the type of work you would be looking at, it's no use someone replying with info on jobs needing PhD qualifications if you would be looking at building work.

It is currently the hiring season for anything tourist related.

A search on the internet eg 'employment in Cyprus' will list many of the popular recruitment websites for professional jobs

She is a retired University lecturer in Archaeology looking at moving there to be near her son and daughter in law who live there. She has been unable to get a contract with UNESCO. Is looking for some form of employment. She can cook, write poetry, knit, crochet, possibly teach English, has a pilot's licence.

Then surely her son and daughter-in-law, who are there on the ground, would be the best people to advise her, and also look out for any suitable jobs coming up, rather than ask a bunch of strangers, most of whom will not live in Cyprus.

Like most things in life, the more you put in, the more you get out. You left us wondering if you were asking about work for a brain surgeon or a street sweeper, but gave us no clue as to where in between those two extremes you were asking about. .... Then you got almost no useful information and somehow it's our fault!

I suspect he's now sat on his mountaintop contemplating his navel and wondering just what life and work are like in Cyprus... or Lebanon.. or Beirut..or Australia.. or even in different areas of the UK or even Africa.. mmmm:rofl::sneaky:
