Will you be Safe

National Security Council also agreed a specific plan for a British contribution to military action. This focused on a "limited one-off" operation and the measures that might have to be taken to protect British interests in the region, including the defence of the UK's sovereign base in Cyprus, which is thought to be potentially within range of President Assad's Scud missiles.

Though considered unlikely, sources said it was possible the US would act without British support – which would be a huge embarrassment for the prime minister. It would also be politically difficult for the White House. US officials have stressed that America would not act unilaterally, but in concert with partners,,,.Strike against Assad regime stalled by British political rows

The best thing the Britsh government can do is tell the warmongering Americans to keep their noses out the middle East for once.
What is happening is terrible but history shows that intervention by outside forces rarely improves matters and often causes far more bloodshed in the long run.
The world already looks on America as wamongers and it is time the Uk told them we are no longer going to follow them like sheep into every conflict they want to stick their noses into.

The British no vote in parliament was a step in the right direction. The bigger picture is, Russia, Israel, USA, UK, Syria, Iran and Turkey are all going to face up to each other. Cyprus is pretty safe, as long as it cannot be proved that it is willingly helping the allies. The problem is, Cyprus has no control over what happens on it's British bases.
Cyprus is gearing up to handling up to 10,000 refugees from Syria a day. Potential taergets too? You should never rule out the impossible?

This is very worrying I was planning to head back to Cyprus With all the hardware that is now in the Med and whatever is underwater I don't believe the US is just going to have a little skirmish and then head home. Nimitz aircraft carrier plus four frigates on top of what is already there is no exercise. Turkey appears to be hell bent on attack which also could be an issue for Cyprus. I hope not UK said no which is good but the bases could still be vulnerable as the US are kind of good with their gung ho attitude and friendly fire. I hope we are not headed for WW3.....beginning to look that way.
